Hard Drive
Stores files and information from the computer for later use (stores data, applicatons and other files).
Power Supply
Sends power to the rest of the system. You usually plug the computer into an outlet through the power supply so that the power supply will recieve the power and send it to the rest of the computer.
Motherboard
Connects the other computer components together like connecting your CPU to your RAM and allowing power to go from your power supply to the rest of your system.
Random Access Memory
Holds short term data so that your computer can process applications/tasks and do downloads.
Central Processing Unit
Executes instructions to the computer and does logical operations for the computer.
Heat Sink
Controls the influx of temperature from computer parts to make sure that nothing malfunctions due to overheating.
Capacitor
Stores electricity in a circut.
Resistor
Limits the flow of electrical current in a circut.
Integrated Circuit Chip
A complicated system that stores many capacitors, resistors and transistors to perform simple functions like osillation, timing and can also work as computer memory.
Transistor
Amplifies, controls and generates electrical signals.
